During a routine exam, we may:
Evaluate the soft tissues to identify signs of gum disease in its earliest and most treatable stage
We conduct a visual oral cancer screening as a part of every dental exam. Studies have shown that early detection is key to successful treatment when it comes to oral cancer. If we identify any areas of concern, we may perform a brush biopsy using the non-invasive CDx® diagnostic system.
Even if you practice proper brushing and flossing techniques at home, you may overlook hard-to-reach areas. During a professional hygienic cleaning, we can remove stubborn plaque and tartar from the surface of your teeth, for a brighter, more vibrant smile.
At our office, we welcome children as young as two years of age. We strongly recommend fluoride treatments for children as part of their regular preventive dental plan, because their developing teeth are especially susceptible to cavities. Fluoride can strengthen enamel and protect their smile from decay. These treatments are painless and can be completed in a matter of minutes.
